This is what happens when you get bored on vacation
To be fair I've been thinking about hooking my PC up to my TV for a while. I plan on getting !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! at some point next year and swapping out my random color LEDs for awesomeness.

Get one of these Lenovo Mini Wireless Keyboards (or something similar). I have one. It's about the size of a video game controller, and perfect for controlling a computer hooked up to a tv while you're sitting on the couch.

Did this for the first time when MST3K was streaming Turkey Day 2013. Hooked my Chromebook via HDMI to my 50". It was glorious.
Okay, so it wasn't the first time..... I've hooked my PC to my 32" gaming TV via the monitor input for testing my Fanatec (didn't have a monitor and needed an actual PC port for the wheel or pedals I forget) and thought "While everything looks so nice and big, might as well look at some porn."
So I did.

I will eventually, either that or just a keyboard with a touchpad built in. Right now I'm just using my wireless logitech set on the ottoman.

I used to have 2 monitors set up. When I played Kerbal Space Program, I liked to keep it in a windowed full screen on the main monitor and browse the internet/chat with people on skype on the second monitor. With this setup having the task bar over on the side like that was the easiest way to keep the main screen clear (the second monitor was on the right so the task bar was all the way to the right)
It's only there because I haven't moved it, and it works just fine that way. At work I also have the task bar on a second monitor, but I keep it on the bottom of the screen so I can see what's in open windows more easily.

55" suckaaaa
The primary display on my desk was/is a 27" anyways, so this was unnecessary. The biggest benefit to this is PC content now plays through my sound system. I was playing some Bully: Scholarship Edition earlier and I plan on playing Bioshock: Infinite at some point, both of which I only have on PC but would rather play on my TV. With my xbox controller it's really just like having another console hooked up.
